To make a name for learning
When others roads are barred,
Take something very easy
And make it very hard.
Tell me and I forget,
teach me and I remember,
involve me and I learn.
By the 1980s Benjamin Franklin was incorrectly receiving credit for an instance.
Don't tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results.
— Will they give you some money for being laid off and all?
— I don't know what the compensation scheme is for when you throw a guy out of a window, Ma. Guess I should have looked into that beforehand. Let me Google that.
— A couple of grand, maybe? You been there three years. Not counting the five years at the academy. Six... if you count the year you were held back.
You're a very serious young woman... I didn't quite mean it as a compliment. It sounds as though you're hurrying somewhere in such a way that the journey will yield very little pleasure. Slow down. College should not necessarily be about narrowing your focus. It's about broadening your experience.
Well, when we grew up and went to school,
There were certain teachers,
Who would hurt the children in any way they could,
By pouring their derision,
Upon anything we did,
Exposing every weakness,
However carefully hidden by the kids.
But in (but in) the town it was well known,
When they got home at night,
Their fat and psychopathic wives would thrash them,
Within inches of their lives.
The best educators are the ones that inspire their students. That inspiration comes from a passion that teachers have for the subject they're teaching. Most commonly, that person spent their lives studying that subject, and they bring an infectious enthusiasm to the audience. I think many people have that enthusiasm, but they are prevented from being teachers because they didn't go through the teacher mill. Now you have teachers who have been through the teacher mill, yet they have no capacity to inspire anyone at all. It's the inspired student that continues to learn on their own. That's what separates the real achievers in the world from those who pedal along, finishing assignments.
— Pardon the mess But do not expect guests. We have many things to break.
— All children are. Like little brother I wore like crazy all over the house. Thought me maze.
— You have a brother?
— Not less. But my mother keeps him on a chain.
— Very reasonable. The only way to get them to learn lessons.
I truly believe the only way we can create global peace is through not only educating our minds, but our hearts and souls.
