Repetition is the lowest form of repartee. Please, we can do a little better than that.
— According to the score, you are a clinical psychopath.
— Wow. Well... certainly explains a lot.
Why don't we just skip the part where you lie to me and get right to the part where you tell me what you're gonna do?
He who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client.
— I am now, already putting on trousers.
“The ones you wear are fine, Gina.
Initial diagnostic session with Jay Roth. Mr. Roth complains of a recent acute acrophobia. He is middle-aged, physically healthy, and had no previous psychiatric problems. He has no living relatives, but many friends from whom he seeks support. He has correct speech, good posture. In the waiting room I sat quietly, not trying to occupy myself with something. But I noticed that he whistles perfectly. He knows how to present himself, but there are signs of an oppressed narcissist. He says that he easily copes with conflicts and troubles, but... I'm not sure if this is true. In general, a lot of what he wanted to convince me of does not coincide with what my intuition says. Although I can’t point out exactly how this is characterized from a clinical point of view. I sense something dark and deceiving in his emotions. However, it is clear that he does have a phobia. We will find out later whether it is a fear of heights or something else. Interesting case. Looking forward to our next session.
