My father told me we was all born of blood and tribulation. And so then too, was our great city. But for those of us who lived and died in them furious days it was like everything we knew was mildly swept away. And no matter what they did to build this city up again for the rest of time would be like no one ever knew we were here!

I'm going to find some decent and simple place to live in; and I'm going down town to find out if there isn't some way in New York for a man to earn an honest living!
When you fly above New York at night it's like you're looking down at millions of stars. And each star could be the life of a person who calls this great city home. My Dad told me that people have always looked at the patterns of the stars to predict what was going to happen in their lives, and if you could understand those patterns, you'd be able to know what was gonna happen before anyone else did.
