— Hey, Sheboygan. What was your last job? Playing square dances?
— No. Funerals.
— Would you mind rejoining the living? Goose it up a little.
Dancing is just a conversation between two people. Talk to me.
Listen, guys, dancing isn't something you think about. It's a form of self-expression that no one can *ever* take away from you.
In marriage, the man is supposed to provide for the support of the woman, the woman to make the home agreeable to the man; he is to purvey, and she is to smile.
But in dancing, their duties are exactly changed; the agreeableness, the compliance are expected from him, while she furnishes the fan and the lavender water.
Like a gift from the heavens, it was easy to tell,
It was love from above, like it saved me from hell,
She had fire in her soul it was easy to see,
And the devil himself could be pulled out of me.
There were drums in the air as she started to dance,
Every soul in the room keeping time with there hands,
And we sang...
But I will dance
On the wind
Breathing in your heart.
Well, it's a marvelous night for a Moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I'm trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the night's magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush.
Sorry about the disruption, folks, but I always do the last dance of the season. This year somebody told me not to. so i'm gonna do my kind of dancing with a great partner who's not only a terrific dancer, but somebody who's taught me that there are people willing to stand up for other people no matter what it costs them. Somebody who's taught me about the kind of person I want to be.
