The whole purpose of places like Starbucks is for people with no decision-making ability whatsoever to make six decisions just to buy one cup of coffee. Short, tall, light, dark, caf, decaf, low-fat, non-fat, etc. So people who don't know what the hell they're doing or who on earth they are can, for only $2.95, get not just a cup of coffee but an absolutely defining sense of self: Tall. Decaf. Cappuccino.
There comes a time when every man has to make a choice, whether it's a professional choice... or whether it's a personal choice. In the end, it's about integrity. And it's about chasing after what you really want... And sometimes you just have to do what's right for your friend. Even if it means sacrificing your own happiness.
Oh, everyone has a choice, dearie. Just make sure it's the right one.
It ain't the roads we take; it's what's inside of us that makes us turn out the way we do.
